Spent most of life in calif fishing lakes for bass and rainbow trout. I have a boat and fished fish river and reef to left and right in mobile bay coming out of weeks bay. Some days I catch fish on fish river, other days nothing. Looking from advice to catch fish consistently in fish river. I love the area. I usually use live or dead shrimp or strike king swimming grubs /minnows. Interested o n specks and redfish and white trout. Any and all info and tips appreciated. Thanks Share

Sun up and sun down times on those reefs. Winter time is good up river, just look for the other boats. Night fishing lights in the hot summer. The more you go, the more you will know....

Welcome to the club. Lots of great information on the forum. Everyone is more than willing to help out. As stated above, just get out there and do it. Sounds like you have a good handle on things getting started. Depending on boat setup, you can start venturing out to the in shore gas rigs, middle bay channel markers and even into the Gulf. Get yourself a TopSpot map for more inshore options.

this place is a bit diff than anywhere else so do yourself a favor and use the search function at top of page and learn abuot the 5w for your target area and species . now time to bite has tons of factors to work through but 2 trips out on site at first light with correct bait will answer that part too. just dont snatch the rod like a pro bass fisherman unless fishing for bass.
